“After many years of cycling, more recently by myself, my performance was not at the level it could be and there was scope to improve.

I had already committed to events before starting the training with Kevin. He provided guidance and focus to tackle those events in the short-term programme. Training continued focussing on 100 mile sportives with the result that I could confidently complete this type of event knowing that I could finish strongly. The programme included specific workouts targeted at my ability and a focus on nutrition during events, important for consistent performance. Subsequently we worked on the efforts needed for a time trial.

Working with Kevin created a level of commitment to train that I’d not previously experienced. The regularity and structured nature of the programme allowed me to see improvements from early on. This built a level of confidence that in turn created motivation to work more.

Overall the coaching has given me the skills and knowledge about how to train to achieve improved performance, to tackle some significant sportives, to improve my time trial performance and to be able to ride Land's End to John O’Groats in under 10 days. I have no doubt that the commitment required to train for a regular meeting with Kevin is key to performance improvement”.

“Before meeting Kevin I had trained for 70.3s with an online program and by comparison my training with Kevin was more focused and metric-specific, increasing my FTP and making me a stronger racer. Kevin took time to understand my goals and challenges so I felt like he understood me as an athlete. He provided consistent and regular feedback on workouts allowing the program to flex with my progression which was immensely helpful and motivating. Kevin was such a valuable asset in my journey and his knowledge, experience and support brought my training to the next level!”

Simon, Kent coaching over 3 years for mountain tours, sportives and endurance riding.

“Having been road cycling for 5yrs, I approached Kevin in 2021 to focus my training rather than just plodding away at the miles or repeating online training plans… I wanted to push myself further. [Over a three year period] Kevin and I have challenged each other, working to the soft goal of improving my performance and enjoyment of overseas cycling trips but without repeating the same annual training plan. The focus has never been on smashing FTP, rather on building my endurance and mountain climbing strength. This has been measured by my year-on-year increase in satisfaction at having pushed myself to ride more demanding 5-6day tours including the NC500, Dolomites, Pyrenees and [in 2024] the Raid Alpine. This latest challenge of riding 80 miles and climbing 3030m every day for 6 consecutive days was 'comfortably' achieved and really showed how Kevin's coaching had paid off. I definitely feel a much better cyclist [which] is supported by my cycling buddies and their recognition that they only get to see the back of me as I lead them up all the climbs 🙂”

UNDER DEVELOPMENT 3/2026

I hadn’t ridden a bike in over 30 years when I decided to take on the London to Brighton ride, and I didn’t even own a bike at the time. I was unsure about coaching and whether it would even be right for someone at my level.

Kevin completely changed that perspective.

Rather than pushing a rigid programme, he took a practical and flexible approach, tailoring everything to suit my goal of simply completing the event while raising money for charity. He provided a clear, manageable plan with realistic milestones, along with invaluable advice on hydration, nutrition, and recovery.

As the event approached, his guidance on pacing and breaking the ride into sections made a huge difference—both physically and mentally. I felt prepared, supported, and far more confident than I ever expected.

Kevin has a real talent for meeting you where you are and helping you achieve what might initially feel out of reach. I couldn’t recommend him more highly.

I got in touch with Kevin to coach me after signing up for my toughest cycling challenge, three days in Sardinia covering 240 miles and over 16,000 feet of climbing, I’d never done anything like this before.  Kevin was great and adapted his style to reflect my goal – to enjoy the trip and improve fitness levels.   He provided clear advice up front as to the amount of training I’d need to do and kept in regular contact with weekly tips to improve technique and nutrition.  He flexed the plan around holidays and had tips on how best to make use of hotel exercise bikes. The trip to Sardinia was tough but I achieved the goal, a large part of this was down to Kevin’s coaching, from the start he gave me the confidence and know-how to make sure I could succeed.
